Welcome To Yorkshire

There is so much to do and see in historic Haworth and surrounding area, it would take months to do everything.

So you will just have to keep coming back to get through it all! Check out lots more details below and start planning your holiday

If you enjoy walking then check out the below!

Places To Eat

You don’t need to walk far to find somewhere to eat.  The biggest challenge is which one?  The nearest is Haworth Old Hall, this is a fabulous building and has a lovely beer garden.

If it is something special we would recommend – The Old Registry – situated at the bottom of the cobbles on the right.

The majority are on the cobbles:

  • Cobbles and Clay (you can paint pottery whilst you have a meal, they will fire it and send to your own home – usually takes a week)

  • Haworth Steam Brewing Co – excellent food, good portions and distils their own gin! They do a Gin Experiences at lunch time. Book online https://haworthsteambrewery.co.uk

  • Take 10 owned by Claire, award winning coffee house.  She bakes 20+ cakes each morning, they are so divine and talked about she’s contracted some recipes to Dubai! They even grinds the coffee beans and let you smell them, before you get to order and plunged the cafeteria. Allow plenty of time, and mention us, you may even get a discount!

  • Hawthorns –  More special , very popular and buzzing on an evening. Tip – don’t sit by the table near the door – too much traffic to the kitchen and can be draughty.

  • Pave - This French restaurant just open Oct 2020, although we’ve not tried yet, guest are raving about it. They serve delicious take aways and have a deli counter - the fresh croissants have been given a thumbs 👍 and their gluten free bread is excellent.  The cheeses look amazing . Mention you are staying Heather Corner to Andrew and Rachel.

Traditional Yorkshire Pubs

  • The Fleece - Speck out its roof top garden!

  • The Black Bull - this is a musical pub with live bands. Just been refurbished and the new managers are John and Jo.

  • The Old White Lion - this is a hotel too and is at top of the cobbles.

  • The Kings Arms – they give a discount - mention Heather Corner to Jo the manager.

  • The Old Sun - Newly refurbished - the food is excellent - it’s on the left on the main road out of the village to Stanbury.

  • Treehouse Bar and Kitchen - a new restaurant, which is behind the Spar at the bottom of the village. We’ve not tried but reviews are good - pizzas, burger type food.

Take Aways

Golden Hind fish & chips – 2 mins walk on Sun Street, best in the village. There are 3 (one at the top of the cobbles and the other near the railway station).

The rest are down near the station, with Italian, Chinese, Indian, Southern fried chicken.
