Holiday Cottage In Haworth, Yorkshire

Heather Corner began as a vision in 2016 — a traditional 150-year-old stone cottage just two minutes from Haworth’s famous cobbled Main Street. What made it truly special was its rare private drive, something almost unheard of in the heart of the village.

What started as a light renovation quickly became a complete restoration. The cottage was carefully rebuilt from the inside out, uncovering original stonework and character features, while creating a modern, comfortable interior for today’s guests. Heather Corner opened its doors in April 2017 and has been welcoming visitors ever since.

Inside, the cottage blends contemporary styling with Yorkshire charm. The bright, fully equipped kitchen includes an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer box, slow cooker, kettle and toaster, along with a breakfast bar that catches the morning sunshine. A cellar provides secure storage for bicycles — ideal for walkers and cyclists exploring the moors.

The cosy lounge and dining area seats four and centres around an inglenook fireplace uncovered during the renovation. Guests can relax with Freeview TV, DVDs, WiFi, books and games, including literary classics inspired by Haworth’s Brontë heritage.

 

Upstairs, there are two bedrooms — one spacious king-size room and one bright twin — both offering ample storage and thoughtful touches for a comfortable stay. The modern bathroom features a bath with overhead shower, basin and WC.

Outside, guests can enjoy two private seating areas, including a gravelled patio with bistro furniture and chiminea, perfect for relaxing after a day on the moors. Off-road parking for one car is available directly beside the cottage, with additional roadside parking nearby.

 

Gas central heating, bed linen, towels, fuel and power are all included. A cot and highchair are available on request.
